About

Hi there! I'm Maksims Ivanovs, a web developer based in Latvia, and I've been immersed in the world of development for 8 years. Beyond coding, I possess a comprehensive skill set, including computer reinstallation, troubleshooting, computer hardware assembly with meticulously chosen components, and a wide array of proficiency in dealing with computers, smartphones, and similar devices in both hardware and software related questions.

How It All Began

From the age of 12, I was captivated by computer technology, mobile phones, and similar devices. At that age, I even disassembled and assembled my computer for the first time - it was quite an adventure.

I don't recall ever having a mobile phone or smartphone without software modifications. Starting with the Sony Ericsson k550i, transformed into the w610i, and finally with Android smartphones, I always installed a newer Android version than officially supported.

During high school, I realized I wanted to be a programmer, but it seemed too complicated, and my interests were elsewhere. After high school, I studied to become a computer system and network administrator, aspiring to start my computer service business.

Before launching my venture, I practiced as a side hustle, fixing computers for friends, etc. Then, one day, a friend told me about the opportunity to work as a programmer without experience.

Not wanting to miss the chance, I contacted the contact person my friend provided, and shortly after, I received an entrance task. It consisted of three tasks: the first one on HTML and CSS, the second on jQuery, and the third on PHP. I completed the first task independently, my friend handled the second one, as he already had programming experience, and we worked together on the third one, where he explained the basics of programming.

I got the job, put in a lot of effort, and it was worth it - I spent 5 years at my first job, laying the foundation for all my programming knowledge.
